Upcoming DFRR Event: Designing for Risk: Climate Change Adaptation in NYC

The AIA New York Chapter Design for Risk and Reconstruction Committee (DfRR) and the NY Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects will host City representatives as they discuss the City's framework for improving our long-term resilience to coastal flood risks and describe ongoing initiatives to promote climate change adaptations.

This is the first of two related programs that play off the DfRR Committee name. 
The second program, Designing for Reconstruction, will take place the third week of October and be organized by the New York City Office of Emergency Management. 

The AIANY DfRR Committee hopes that these events and others will continue to foster a dialogue between city government and the design community that will help to make the city ready for future climate hazards while protecting the quality of the design of the public realm.
